For 1 day only, we are on a mission to search for and document as many breeding bird species as we can find at Kankakee NWR’s black oak savanna and sand flatwoods! Are you up for the challenge? Join bird experts and/or provide your own expertise as we learn more about this exciting refuge and the birds that inhabit it.
Meet at 7:00 AM at Refuge sign. At 11:30 AM we will meet for lunch at a local establishment in St. Anne. Optional afternoon and evening birding for those interested!
